“The way we gather matters. It matters because how we gather is how we live.”
~ Priya Parker
Hi there, I’m Cristin. Settler Canadian, facilitator, community builder, and founder of Birch + Bloom.
I’ve always been drawn to spaces that honour our full humanity, where we can move through hard things together, reconnect with what matters, and imagine new ways of being in relationship with ourselves, each other, and the land.
That’s what Birch + Bloom exists to create. A living practice rooted in collective wisdom, deep listening, and human-centered ways of moving through the complex times we’re in. Because how we gather shapes how we live, lead, and care for one another.
For more than 20 years, I’ve worked across sectors helping individuals and communities navigate complexity, uncertainty, and transition. I’ve led large scale initiatives, facilitated transformative dialogue, and built teams and programs rooted in belonging, care, and community connection.
This work is not just professional. It is personal. Birch + Bloom grew from my own lived experience of grief, reinvention, and the long journey of remembering what truly matters. It is my response to what I believe the world is calling for: thoughtful spaces of reflection, presence, and collective imagination. Not quick solutions or top down answers, but meaningful processes that move at the speed of trust.
My practice is shaped by decades of working in complex systems and by seasons of personal transformation. I bring formal training in communications, peace and conflict studies, civic dialogue, and embodiment coaching. These are interwoven with years of experience in leadership, facilitation, and community engagement. This layered training, both lived and learned, allows me to hold space that is strategic, creative, relational, and deeply attuned to the human experience.
If you’re seeking a partner in relational gatherings, leadership design, or retreat facilitation, I would love to connect.
